- Advocate Sherman Hospital
General tasks around the hospital, assisting patients, helping the information desk, and more. We offer clerical, customer service and nursing floor volunteer opportunities. We ask for one day a week commitment , same day and time shift. Volunteer health testing including flu shot is required. Purchase of a uniform is required. Ages 16+.

We can use bilingual (Spanish/English) teens to help staff with special events, carry out special projects, and to a limited extent, assist with office clerical tasks. Call Andrea Janos to inquire about projects or events. Ages 13+ (under 18, parental consent needed).

- City of Elgin, Parks & Recreation
Older teens can help with programs at the Eastside Recreation Center, other program assistance. Ages 16+. Ages 14+ can volunteer with a parent for Hawthorne Nature Center Outdoor Work Days.
- Downtown Neighborhood Association
Be involved in downtown events throughout the year. Help staff with poster distribution, social media promotions, and event set up and tear down.
On-going volunteer opportunity during the Elgin Farmer Market season (June to October). Serve as set up crew, on-site staff, activity coordinators, etc.

Peer Jury: Serve as Juror in police program to hear and decide cases of juvenile offenders outside of the court system. Ages 13-18, must attend school in Elgin
Explorers: Learn about a career in law enforcement and participate in service projects. Ages 14-21 (some 13 yr. old’s accepted).

Help with food distribution, unloading food trucks, or special events throughout the year. Individuals and groups welcome. Ages 12-15 with a parent or chaperone.
